Fuck yeah you're awesome. Love the website. As a huge pooh fan myself, I feel ashamed to say I was duped by the quote 'how lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard" which, while moving (in my opinion), is most certainly not pooh as you correctly pointed out. Thanks for going out of your way to drop some truth bombs on the rest of us. Keep it up! - Max

Thank you so much for your blog!!! Searching for a passage to read at my Dad’s memorial service, and I can’t believe how Pooh is misquoted all over the internet! Thanks! - Mimi

And here I thought I was the only one enraged; irritated; annoyed; irked; bothered; offended (f) all of the above, by quotes that are clearly NOT Milne being attributed to him. I grew up on my father's warm baritone reading Pooh stories. So, thanks. Just, thanks. - Katie

Good blog! I was looking for some dialogue from the chapter about Eeyore losing his tail from the first book when I found a website that listed his quotes, some of them credited to "Eeyore's Gloomy Little Instruction Book" (at least the book was mentioned), but I thought "this doesn't sound like A.A. Milne; who wrote this? Is this an A.A. Milne book I didn't know? Why is this mixed up with the actual books?" so after a little googling I found your blog, which helped to clarify the authorship, so thanks! The web can be truly messy regarding attribution. I tend to only consider Winnie-the-Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner to be canon, but that's a personal preference as the only adaptation I enjoy is the Russian one (I mean, the three short-films by Fyodor Khitruk, 1969-1972, which I find very close to the spirit of the original). - Noir
